This week we were learning about the letter “O”. We focused on octopus.
We now know that octopus have 8 legs.
We looked at different ways to make 8...our favourite was making a double...
4 + 4 more equals 8!
We made octopus pictures using hand prints. Ms Olney painted 4 of our fingers and we printed that on the paper...then she asked us how many more we needed to make 8 legs...
We think that she thought we wouldn’t know, but we were so on to it...
it was 4 of course!
We also read about octopus. We discovered some interesting facts (using our white thinking hats)...some were very interesting, some were very sad! You should ask us what we know about octopus.
