Week 5 & 6

This term we have been looking at water.  We have been asking some really BIG and thoughtful questions.

We have also read the "Waterhole" by Graeme Base.

These are our thoughts about the book...

"I felt sad because the water dried out because the animals kept drinking it" - Mattise

"I felt wonderful because the animals all came back and then I was disappointed because all the water was dried out"- Miquela

"I was sad because the water dried out and the animals couldn't drink anymore water and so they went away" - Sammy

"I was a bit sad because when we started reading it I thought the animals would die but the animals went away until it rained a bit" - Jayden

"It made me feel sad because it might have been their favourite waterhole and they had to go away until it rained again" - Mia

"I felt happy because the water came back" - Aarushi

"I felt a little confused because the water was getting smaller and smaller and then the animals didn't have any water" - Louisa

"I felt so, so sad because the water was all dried up in the end and the moose went away" - Caitlin

"I felt wonderful went the water came and the animals loved water" - Taryn

This term we have been looking at our inquiry...
"It's a beautiful world...why or why not!"
We shared our ideas about what beauty was...

We had some wonderful ideas, we made Ms Olney's heart melt!

We looked in some National Geographic Magazines and found pictures and described why we thought they were beautiful.
We had some very thoughtful ideas!

Check out Creative Creations Page, we made some BEAUTIFUL flower pictures using pastels.  We could only choose a few colours, we then had to blend the colours using mutton cloth to make the flowers look more natural.
